Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
1-4+years of experience in Automotive, Heavy Machinery, or Industrial Equipment design.
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks(Advanced Part Modelling, Weldments, Sheet Metal).
- Strong proficiency in PTC Creo (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal; Top-Down Design preferred).
- Good exposure to Plastic component design and Sheet Metal component design including mounting strategies and fastening concepts.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as:
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Plastic injection molding
- Machining
- Welding / fabrication
- Good knowledge of engineering materials such as steel, aluminium, plastics, castings, and forgings.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations (stress, load estimation, factor of safety).
- Experience with PDM / PLM tools.
